""... a perfect blend of heaviness, melody and theatre ... A welcome return from an excellent band that has been away far too long!""

""Hell, I find myself liking this more after each listen, so they definitely have more going on than the average NWOBHM imitators, or they at least have more staying power. Either way, Zeppelin is an ass-kicking workout of old-school metal that I strongly recommend to any self-respecting metal fan out there.""

"Technique, melody, aggressiveness and a great singer like Captain Strange to hold everything together, in short, the ingredients to make a good record of highly pure metal, Stuka Squadron know them well and have the know how to blend them with class.!"

STUKA SQUADRON 'ZEPPELIN'

A METAL AIRSHIP

In the years in which old school metal began to raise its head again, the name of the English Stuka Squadron circulated quite frequently thanks to the excellent 'We Drink Blood' EP, but these premises were followed by a single album in 2011. Reborn in 2014, they arrive at a second work that will delight admirers of the most rocky and heroic heavy power, immediately made clear by the angry 'Pit Of Fire', with its armored riffs that recall Judas Priest on steroids. It's armored metal that comes out of the grooves of 'Zeppelin', between the galloping Maiden-style rhythms of the title track, the epic nature of 'The Last Valkyrie' and the twin-guitar intertwining of 'Angel Of Mons' ' (only a namesake of the historic 45 by Shiva and a song which, due to a series of curious coincidences, bears the co-writing credits of Emiliano Piccioni of Cosmofrog and... our contributor!). Technique, melody, aggressiveness and a great singer like Captain Strange to hold everything together, in short, the ingredients to make a good record of highly pure metal, Stuka Squadron know them well and have the know how to blend them with class. (Stefano Giusti) ‎

10/10 Metal-Temple.com (Mark Garcia)

"If Stuka Squadron isn't a great name by now, it's an injustice of fate. But if it's the case 'Zeppelin' came to correct such thing, so hear to it and join their army!"

Extreminal (Chris Forbes)

"Holy shit did this bad bring it and more ... This is a band that delivers metal all the way. Get the denim jacket and pop this on, you'll thank me for it. Horns up indeed."

8.5/10 Saitenkult.de (Sir Lord Doom)

"The well-known British bands served as role models. The style is pure British Heavy Metal with a cult comic image ... this band's charisma is very pronounced ... And the record is just real, the guys live it completely ... both STUKA SQUADRON albums are strong and idiosyncratic, but always rousing. With all the current zero numbers, conformists and copycats, this is simply a relief.... "

"if you ever wonder if classic heavy metal still has something to say, Stuka Squadron have a completely unambiguous and very positive answer.

Stuka Squadron are not only comedians, clowns and laughers, they also know how to make good music."

"...if you like concept albums with completely crude pulp stories, weird radio play elements, classic metal and a raucous, riotous production, then you should lend a sympathetic ear to STUKA SQUADRON and have a lot of fun .... the trumpets of Jericho howl here."
